July 25, 2021 - Consumed over 2 days (vacuvined and refrigerated), note from day 2. Appearance: Clear, medium lemon. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity, youthful aromas of tropical fruit - pineapple and mango, apricot and subtle hints of fresh cut grass. Palate: Dry, medium acid and alcohol, medium body, medium+ intensity flavors of tropical fruit (smoothie), pear and, oddly, hints of petrol with a medium+ finish.

December 29, 2020 - WOW! Quel Sauvignon Blanc.

February 12, 2019 - Medium straw color. Low-medium viscosity. Nose: ripe melon flesh, unripe melon rind, rubber, gooseberry, just-ripe passion fruit, a little citrus zest, very pretty, more expressive and better integrated as it warms from fridge temperature. Palate: follows nose but with more summers-day grass, medium acid - zippy entry, less so in the mid-palate and just a touch awkward on the back end, a little grip, medium-plus alcohol. Grip and almond note at the end of the finish suggests this has seen some oak. Rounder and less overtly acidic than a lot of NZ SB. Very nice, great QPR. 13%, $18. 89+
