April 4, 2023 - I love the schizophrenic nature of Italian wines! Without food they can be too much but with food they can be wonderful. This wine is a perfect example. Started it pre dinner and was disappointed. But add a grilled ribeye and back in love. Tons of tannins and fruit. More years to go for sure.

June 2, 2019 - First of six from a 2016 Wine Access offering. Open for two hours before tasting. 75% Sangiovese / 25% Cab and 14% abv. Deep ruby red with flow-forming legs. Lots of dusty tannins and a long finish. Showing no signs of age at this point. We consider it "Very Good" and, accordingly, score it at 86 points.

May 19, 2017 - Nice Toscana IGT, sangiovese & cab blend. We had this first time over dinner on our honeymoon in Panzano, Tuscany. Bouguet has lovely earthy tones that takes us back to that one dinner on September evening a year ago.
