November 26, 2022 - Black fruit, herbal notes, tobacco, spice, anise, cassis, and lots of notes in the mid-palate from the spice and herbs. Well developed and drinks smoothly. A/A+.

March 7, 2022 - Classic mature cab with currant, plum, cassis, mocha and leather notes and a rich layered long finish

December 25, 2021 - Popped and poured on a whim. This clearly could have used some time in a decanter first. Black currant, mocha, licorice and tobacco come through. This is big, full bodied, layered and long. Still sporting some tannin at times this felt like eating a meal. It’s an impressive wine but needs more time or a long decant.

August 12, 2021 - Deep red color. Blackberries, black cherries, blueberries, chocolate, and a hint of licorice in the nose. Concentrated black fruits, blackberries and currants in the flavor. Full bodied, well balanced, nice complexity, and a medium to long finish.

September 19, 2020 - With a 2 hour decant this was soft and round with big brambly blackberry fruit. Drank alongside a 2006 Shafer hillside select that was also decanted but still seemed tight. Such a different wine as this was much more enjoyable.
