Community Tasting Notes 2

November 1, 2009 - From the off this was darker and thicker than expected. The nose was decent. It had that Cab Franc tobacco/mushroom thing going on. This was impenatrably dark and I’d never have guessed it was 9 years-old. There was quite a tannic presence on the back end too with a lick of acidity, going well with food: in fact demanding food. I don’t forsee it improving much from this point as the tannins will probably take over but this was actually my type of wine and a real surprise at the price to boot. (nov ’09)
