July 22, 2015 - still youthful, excellent floral notes after brief decant, elegant yet powerful, hard to stop sipping this one, very good indeed, except for the price!

July 20, 2011 - Nice ruby color with no brickng at all! In very good condition, nose of red fruit and quite a bit of stems and slight gaminess and spices, medium plus palate that took an hour to open up the fresh and balanced flavors, we all thot its a post 2000 bottle. Very good in terms of the condition of the bottle and wine is in a more elegant red fruit style rather than the dark fruit over extracted style that characterizes Leroy in the late 80s and early 90s.

June 19, 2004 - Ruby red with clear fading around the rim. Intense, fantastic and addicting aromas of olives, strawberries, a little coffee, wild fruits and loads of flowers. They should bottle this as a perfume! Medium to full body, with lovely concentration, providing flavors of cherries, wild fruits and fresh grapes. Perfect balance, with integrated tannins, that do need time to soften, combined with lovely massive acidity, and very slight oak in the background, providing a full stage for all the lovely tasty fruitiness to glow. Big finish with a solid aftertaste. Overall this is a very good wine, that provides loads and loads of personality within a very interesting and in my opinion, unique array of flavors and feel. The fruit’s acidity in this wine was truly fantastic, and very very enjoyable. With that said, the wine definitely needs time to soften and integrate, and in my opinion, would shine at its 20th birthday.
