Community Tasting Notes 10

December 31, 2021 - In a great spot. Powerful and generous with ample tannin and some secondary development. Would be nice to try it again in a few years, but so much fun now with roasted rib eye and the fixings.

August 17, 2020 - Dark and complex. Seemingly shy on acidity, but enjoyable none the less.

February 2, 2020 - Tasted together with the same wine in the 2016 vintage, as well 2015 and 2016 "standard" Tempier Bandol. This was clearly the favourite at this point. Dark colour, almost blue at the core. Intense nose of plums, dark berries, and a spicy tone reminiscent of menthe and thyme. Full bodied, sweet fruit in the mouth, very refined tannins for a Bandol, and a fresh and long aftertaste with sweet dark berries and that same spicey notes as in the aroma. A very civilized and almost elegant Bandol. Great wine with boeuf bourgignon.

November 17, 2019 - Red and black fruit in front of forest floor and earthiness. Good tannin and a vibrant, healthy break in the transitions between fruit and dense middle was fun to experience next to the much better integrated 2007.
