Darker than the F&LP shared beside it, but not excessively so. Initially tight, then yellow stone fruits, peach, nuts, some banana and yellow nectarine. Fleshy, with the minerality of the vineyard only appearing at the tail of the finish. Picked too late, and with the oak overwriting the vineyard character and the fruit. I's a Remoissenet before all else and lovely to drink now or soonish, but without the tension and precision expected from this vineyard, drink now 18.

March 13, 2023 - Shared with Matrot Meursault Perrieres, and splash decanted 3 hours prior to lunch. Deeper in colour than the Matrot and with a riper fruit presentation, this seemed advanced at first but fined down with air. The oak is still evident and provides a honeycomb overlay to the lemon citrus. The balance improves with time in the glass but it will always be a riper style. I suspect this wine may be at an awkward stage in its development so revisit in 2024 18.
