However, the wines are actually very similar, in that each was dominated by a green peppercorn element. With the '12 this remained an accent and the wine was drinkable, someone unique, and reminiscent of wines I've had from the Canary islands believe it or not. With the '15 the green note absolutely dominates everything else. Now, to be clear, I love savory green notes in wine. One of my favorite categories is Loire CF, and not even the polished fancy ones, but the simple, earthy ones. But here the green isn't working at all, and doesn't make any sense in what should have been a fruit-forward and somewhat rich wine in '15. So, my verdict is non.

  August 9, 2017 - Fun wine... beautiful sweet and savory fruit. Contemplative garrigue and pepper. No air, popped and poured but the wine was still generous. No ridiculous tannin, juicy fruit.
