October 2, 2022 - Wines of the Camino de Santiago; 9/13/2022-10/19/2022 (Northern Spain): The nose is open and polished right away as it leans into searching tones of Vanilla, creamy oak, black Cherries, black raspberries, black fruits, tobacco leaf, currants, violets, and savory spices. The Full bodied feel is lovely and balanced with crisp, medium+ acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. This was available in a random Albergue along the Camino and a real find! This is drinking beautifully right now and I can’t see it getting all that much better.

October 15, 2021 - Pragtfuld vin. Fyldig, rund, balanceret.

February 11, 2021 - Rose petals, tar, leather, spice on the end. And sweetness. Good. Supple and sinewey. Ready but will last.

The wine seller I brought this from told me that this wine was made by Tomas Postigo, one of the leading lights of Spanish wine making; and the wine lives up to the expectations I’d formed based on Postigo’s other wines.

May 23, 2020 - Entering its peak. Tannins softened. Sumptuous and delicious fruits, both in nose and mouth. Opened one hour before consumption. The quinta essence of a Modern Duero. Enjoy!

November 10, 2019 - Restrained nose. Concentrated dark berries. Top heavy abv, lacking fruit intensity to balance it out.
