  October 9, 2019 - A lovely colour with ripeness; the acidity in the front is very nice and there is real Pauillac power in the midtaste, but I missed some characteristics in the bouquet. There is a starting over-ripeness in the finish, but overall a very good wine.

  September 2, 2018 - This was a midshoulder fill.. However both the capsule and cork was still in very good shape.
  
  The wine was to be enjoyed fairly quickly.. The fruit decimated qucikly however the secondary and tertiary notes lasted fairly long. Great experience but not a great but good wine.

  January 1, 1994 - Historic note (recorded here Aug 06). A strange one this - a Justerini and Brooks bottling. I decanted it, losing about half a glass because of a heavy sediment and we drank the wine with dinner. It was okay but too old and faded. After dinner while clearing up the dishes I decided to taste the discarded half glass with sediment rather than just pour it away. It was amazing - a youthful purple wine with intense cassis flavour - I rated that half glass 97 points! Since then whenever I decant an old wine and find it to be a little faded I pour the discarded bit with sediment into a glass and allow it to settle for an hour or so then taste it and if okay I pour some of it back into the decanter of wine being careful to leave the sludge behind in the glass. With faded wines over 40 years old it usually adds some depth to the wine even if the difference is not as dramatic as it would have been in this case.
