March 25, 2015 - Really educational experience. Quite old for a village level burg. Was impressive , on opening, bright acidity, great blending of fruit, earth, mushroom, softened tannin. Both aged, and lively. After 2 hours, it was nice, but totally faded. A ghost of its former self. Never experienced that before.

July 22, 2012 - Some cherry and leather on the nose, blood and iron in the mouth, with a slightly luscious texture, such as you may get in an aged southern Rhone. I can't share Champagneinhand's exuberance, but this is a rather nice, fairly elegant villages CdN purchased at release price with 10 years of age. I'm encouraged to push past this domaine's mediocre reputation and try some more of their wines.
Second day, after storing half in a sealed 375 bottle, tiring and fading. -

August 30, 2008 - wow! I wasn't expecting this but this wine was amazing, perfectly paired with a medium rare filet. The nose was full of bright red raspberries, currants and blackberries mixed with just a touch of vanilla and hazelnut. I decanted about a half-hour because I could wait no longer. Light acid as expected for a 9 year old yet crisp and clean with smooth silky tannins caressing every potion of your palate and a long finish of about 1 minute. I have to agree with the 95 rating listed above, and my bottle was sealed with wax.

March 8, 2008 - I drank the last two bottles from my cellar and was so dissapointed, I had to find out why? Went to the wine store and talked to owner and then looked at back of bottles. 3 were purchased from a store out of Oilville, VA and all were no anywhere as good as the previous bottles that were imported through NY. They also were not sealed in wax. There is definety heat damage in the bottles previously stored in VA. Still not bad but far from great. Such a shame to see a great wine waste by improper storage

February 23, 2008 - This burgundy is simply stunning! I shared a bottle last night with my siter in law and ended up fighting for the last glass. Such lucious red fruit, perfect amount of oak, beatifull vanilla compliment and that velvety/silky tannin leaving you with a finish that lasts for minutes. I actually just thought of the taste of this as I went to bed, wishing that I could get a hold of some more perfect bottles. It has some mineral traces of limestones and the chambertin region which clearly seperates this from other pinots from the west coast and appellation such as volnay, vosne- romanee, corton andmusingy-chambolle, all of which I really love. This is a special wine.
