Couleur grenat foncé. Au nez, arômes d'abord sur les fruits rouges, la cerise, puis touche de réduction et, enfin, épices, barrique.
En bouche, attaque ferme, acide, élevage présent, puissance et aussi une touche de surmaturité, intense, tannique et long.
A mon sens, attendre quelques années pour lui permettre de s'assagir. -

November 17, 2019 - The nose is arresting. Earthy, with red fruit, lilies and slight spice, along with truffles. Voluptuous, and broad. The finish is very long in length. Silky tannins and very approachable, yet as this opens up, you notice how it will age exceptionally well. Deftly made and more of a modern style. Drink 2021 -.

November 19, 2016 - Tasting Gevrey Chambertin 2015 in Burgundy (Roi Chambertin, Gevrey Chambertin): Beguiling nose with mid palate verve and substance. Balanced spice and ripe fruit – not overripe. No dried raisin. Perhaps a touch of heat gives away the vintage but there is much to like here… And I really like this!
