November 25, 2023 - Thin, weedy, and with a focus on its tobacco, cedar, herb, and leafy, peppery, sharp red fruit profile. Not undrinkable, and knowing the vintage, this was better than expected. Drink from 2023-2024.

November 17, 2022 - Coravin'd a small sample to see where the wine is at in its life. Color was brown/red with ever so light bricking. Aromas of clean fruit, cigar, wet dirt, tobacco, chocolate. Taste of cherry, chocolate, black dirt, cigar. I was very pleasantly surprised by this. I decided to decant the bottle and filter the sediments. Left it in the decanter for approximately 2 hours. Cleaned the bottle, pour a tiny bit of the wine back in the bottle and rinsed the water out. Poured the wine back in and vacuum corked it. Took it to a restaurant and drank it about 1.5 hrs later. The wine still has life left. There is enough acid and fruit to hold the wine together longer but there is no need. Great time to drink this now. It is in between secondary and tertiary aromas.

March 28, 2021 - From a bottle with top shoulder fill. In the nose soft and pleasant with butter, leather, flamed wood and fruit. Develops nicely while in the glass with additional layers of wood and spice appearing. On the palate the substance feels a little watery and thin, tannins are low, acidity is a bit high and there is pronounced bitterness in the finish. Nice classic Bordeaux, however, a little light on its feet. The Giscours from the same year, tasted the night before, had more meat on the bones.
