  December 27, 2016 - Barrique, 4th day, Semi lucent purple with a narrow pink rim. dark chocolate, pine(sawdust), and savory with underneath dried cranberries and a hint of vanilla. Medium+ acidity, dry, medium sandy and furry tannin, medium+ warming alcohol, medium body. medium cranberry and dark chocolate on the palate, with a long herbaceous and bitter chocolate finish with lesser grape seed. Good balance, good length, good intensity, good complexity. Outstanding, quality improved.

  December 24, 2016 - 2014 Cave Berthaudin, Le Cret Barrique, Gevene: Semi lucent Ruby with a vague pinky rim. Medium- Stewed cherry and strawberry with lesser cranberry, pine, sawdust, grain alcohol and cheesy nose at higher temperature on the nose. medium+ acidity, firm medium tannin, medium+ body, medium+ warming alcohol, dry. green leaves, vanilla on palate with a hint of grape seed, a bitter long herbaceous finish with a hint of leather. A little off-balance, for the overwhelming acidity and observable alcohol, oaky finish, okay intensity, good complexity. Acceptable.
