August 25, 2022 - 30 min air, juicy fresh blackberry with high pitched tannic structure and parching tannins on the bittersweet chocolate finish that featured a slight eucalyptus note. Bits and pieces of Howell Mtn appearing, but needs more air. Bricking already apparent but a lovely dark black purple hue. Unfortunately the color was this bottle’s best attribute. Fell off a cliff after 90 min. 90 until 90 min, low 80s thereafter

November 5, 2016 - Howell Mountain Harvest Celebration, nose of blackberry, black cherry, black currants and briar, same on the palate, big body, needs 4/5 years to peak, richer and bigger and better for me than the "Neal vineyard" tasted today, like all 2013 vintage, it has a long, long, life ahead of it, medium amount of soft tannins on the long finish.
