September 23, 2019 - Brought to dinner with Jean Luc from Comte Georges de Vogue and his wife.
    An amazing village.
At 41 years of age this is really still holding up.
Complex nose with cherries, truffles, underbrush, wet forest floor and decaying leaf's.
Hints of licorice and tar, dark tea and faint red berries.
Palate is fully mature, red sweet strawberries, cherries, streak of minerals showing.
This is a great wine at this stage.
Jean Luc had never had a village wine from the Domaine this old, and we where very surprised how incredibly well it performed.
    A really great mature Chambolle.

August 9, 2015 - the ultimate Burgundy, still alve as in the past, same full body, same fruit, soft tannins, complexity

September 16, 2014 - the perfect survivor, full of fruit (cherry, etc), still powerful, softest tanins

October 7, 2006 - Definitely a strong brown tinge to the rim, but still some brightness to the color. Incredibly strong cherry nose, nice balanced acidity. No lack of fruit despite the age. Exquiste soft/smooth but not huge finish. Hanging in there but obviously not going to last much longer. Survived most of an hour open before it started to fall apart. Delighted to try somthing this mature, a real experience.
