February 29, 2024 - Bright red fruits, touch savory and mineral. Love this with some age

July 16, 2020 - Wow...what an unexpected pleasure! Bought this on a whim on the recommendation of a friendly wine merchant as a summer red and finally took a case out of the cellar and opened it with my dad. "Is it drinkable?" I asked as he gulped down his first glass only a few minutes after I had popped and poured. "It's certainly drinkable!" was the reply and wasn't he right! A kind of sooty red colour in the glass. Nose was a combination of red fruits which became more accentuated on the palate combined with a hint of leather. Far, far more complexity than I ever expected. Goes wonderfully with food or on its own. Delighted I have two cases of this.

August 5, 2019 - The nose was initially obscured by reduction, and it really needed time to breath before it became interesting. Decant for at least an hour.
Once it opened up, complex aromas of gentle red cherry, earth, minerality, gentle ripe rasberry, cranberry, red apple, and other red fruits. Some Brett. Animal, leather, horsehide. Medium bodied, elegant, gently textured. Minimal oak. Complex. Highly enjoyable food wine.
    Volcanic soils

April 27, 2019 - Light-bodied and fresh, with low tannin. A little more brett compared to my previous bottle. With a bit of a chill, this went well with grilled chicken.

December 27, 2018 - Light red, red fruit, a little spicy with some fresh acidity. Not your usual fare but worth a try. 87
