October 13, 2023 - Improved as it had time to open up. I was not overly impressed given the price and professional reviews.

July 15, 2023 - Taken to the Castello Di Bellagio near Sattahip, Thailand and drank on the terrace after a 1-hour decant with Khun Ayi, the owner, as the sun set.
Dense opaque purple red with a miniscule watery meniscus. Nose is immediately "KAPOW!" a la Roy Lichtenstein….totally enveloping multiple layers going through tamarind, fresh liquorice root, air dried ripe blackberries. Has a warmth like sittng beside a log fire in a small farmhouse inTuscany with the smoke slightly seeping into the room. Silence creating in a contemplative way and I totally forgot that I hadn’t yet brought the glass to my lips. Palate is quite resolved and very rounded but with still a lovely acid and tannic frame. Beautifully rounded and luxuriant and perfectly evoking memories past of Tuscan rural hilltop holidays. Really resonant and reverberant on a very long contemplative finish. Fully mature. 94 easy. -

July 3, 2023 - dark, semi-opaque and viscous. it needs air to open up. eventually, the nose is perfumed and floral with black currant, plum, herbal and smoky notes. palate is big and weighty, opening with a nice shot of red berry fruit, slightly tart, and then grows in stature, with more dark berries, more savoury flavours, around a mineral core. good tension here. prominent but fully integrated tannins wrap the mineral-dominant close. has surely peaked but this has life left in it.

May 7, 2022 - Double-decanted for an hour before taking to the restaurant. Powerful aromas of fruit and incense. Flavor-wise, high-toned red berries predominated, cherry and currant, with some herb qualities. Softer and gentler than I had expected. Layered enough to have depth and some structure, but no obvious tannins or acid. Balanced and elegant. Very easy to drink.

May 4, 2022 - Tasted blind. Not decanted and none needed. Beautiful fruit core of red berries, dried tomatoes and herbs along with finest aging notes of leather. Later on this added an amazing touch of black coffee. Smooth texture. Acidity provides for nice freshness while the overall structure on the palate was round and delicate. beautiful fruit core of red berry. Complexity is decent and this felt in a perfect drinking window right now. Could maybe show more detail and slickness in a better vintage.
