October 7, 2022 - Not at the level of 2001, but clean and enjoyable. Destemmed, cherry profile fitting Jayer.

July 6, 2021 - With thanks to my friend, who bought it from a 3 Michelin star French restaurant, I believe in their source. Opened around 12pm, I tasted it around 1pm. Orange ruby color. Medium+ lively aroma. Tomato, red fruits, flower, berries, Cranberry juice, lots of strawberry, little bit of smoke, celery, white pepper, white flower, Gardenia, little dust. Very fresh and young aroma. Not ripen and hot at all. High acidity. OK concentration. Tannin is totally melted into the wine and integrated with the wine.

After 2 hours aeration, some dried grass, grass, more white pepper, white flower, little red berries, strawberries. Very good intensity and concentration. Beautiful tannin. Aroma is more and more pronounced. Very complex flavor, you can feel a little bit of everything from primary to tertiary.

If I have to say something, it's a very ethereal, beautiful, vibrant and elegant wine, but not enough energy behind it, maybe because of the Echezeaux. so 96-97.

June 3, 2018 - Absolutely amazing in every way. The nose is pure red candy and bright red fruit. The balance and complexity are both perfect. Good spice notes, Asian spices with a hint of cedar. The wine and the 97 Cros P have made me a believer in good producer 97s. This was a real treat.

June 1, 2018 - Henri Jayer & Disciples (15 USW): Comparable to the nose on the ‘97 Rouget Cros P but with even more detailed and lighter aromatics. Expressive, sweet red cherry, mild dry underbrush, coffee and cola spice highlights. Beautiful florals in a way that is more indicative of stems, although there are none on these wines. Blueberry fruit. Delicious palate with earth-laden and textured red berry fruit. Surprisingly stalky, which I think could be attributable to the Character of Echezeaux more broadly. Beautiful all around, incredible drinking. This is in my top three wines of the night for sure, if not number one, out of a legendary line up.
