September 12, 2017 - Last tried a few years back. Though has some caramel, wine appears peaking off and fading. Should consume soon.

March 1, 2015 - aromatics of truffle, mushroom floral. Some smoke lacks freshness. Good flavors.

February 26, 2015 - A touch advanced, and in a great flight (76,78,82) came in third for me.

June 23, 2012 - From an excellent looking bottle, this wine had a bright, light gold center and clear rims. The medium intensity nose of hazelnuts, lemon, almond paste, and white stone was captivating.

In the mouth, the wine was light bodied but with a big flavor impact. Of course, it was a bit watery and disjointed until after 2 hours of decanting time. Afterwards, it came around nicely to show diffuse but firm acidity and very good length.

While I thought this peaked at 2 hours, it was noticeably better after 3 hours. It gained a lot of power in the mid-palate and additional complexity, Excellent!

March 6, 2011 - Drank multiple times with consistent results. Nutty, honey and caramel. Wine opened in 1 hr and lasted for 3+ hrs. Comparing with the 78 Latour Batard, the Corton Charlemange is consistently better.
