February 4, 2024 - Aromas of mushrooms and black cherries baked with grilled herb switches. Rhubarb. Sour cherry. This is quite aged but still drinkable!

August 15, 2023 - Second time we have this wine this year (Papies 91 last time 4 month sago or so) and was a lot better this time and really was such a beautiful experience and albeit dominated by the nose of this wine we forgive it the short finish.
Avoid decanting here as the wine is fragile.
The nose is ever so classic, rich smoky , roast meat, tertiary dark fruit and herbs along with a well earthy feel too. Exceptional nose and would give top end Cote-Roties/Hermitages a run for their money especially adjusting for price. On the palate it is soft and well matured but still healthy and alive. Just a touch short on the finish but what a beautiful wine ( well beautiful specific bottle). 93

May 13, 2023 - We discussed during this beautiful lunch a lot about Chapoutier wines and how much variability and disappointment we have had with his wines maybe as much as the happy moments. So when this was spotted sleeping happily in the cellar of 10 Cases, London it had to be had. And frankly it drinks very well and albeit the best days have gone still its healthy, with good fully mature fruit, some energy , light smoky edge. Very pretty and a very good 91

November 28, 2021 - Mature yet quite good with signs of dried herb dark fruit notes and earthy character. Enough lift and flavors to keep this quite good and clearly Syrah. Pixca lunch

January 9, 2021 - 3rd or 4th night really opened up. Like previous post green pepper, iron, leather. Old vintage and not bad. Drinking well now. Very nice, by this I mean perfect in harmony and at a sweet spot. Most beautiful many days after opening.

Needs time to open up. It has become beautiful. Nights previous old wine but little interest.
