Community Tasting Notes 4

November 5, 2023 - During the La Paulée in Zurich, so no detailed tasting notes. From MAG, one of the best wines of the day. Really grand tertiary aroma fireworks, polished palate. Grand. 96+

November 4, 2023 - La Paulee, only brief impressions. From magnum. Vivid, good intensity from start to finish with a nice red fruit core, some toasted notes, a beautiful sweetness balanced by earthy notes, some mushroom and meaty notes, as well as a herbal component. Good complexity and precision and very fine and elegant structure. One of the winners of today. 95/96pts

October 16, 2022 - An impressive mature Red Burg. High quality of the vintage and terroir show here with sweet, concentrated fruit that is laced with CdB meatiness and spice. Smooth with well-integrated structure that is holding on strong. Nice mature power and good length.

October 16, 2022 - Sunday Salon (Chicago, IL): Impressive, old Burgundy. Despite the age, the fruit here shows generously and brilliantly, and there's a good mix of sweet red fruits in a slightly pot pourri sort of way here. Certainly there are the typical autumnal notes, but they are more accents than the sole feature. Despite starting to thin from age, this still has impressive weight and definitely shows the expected grand cru power.
