May 28, 2023 - Spot on tonight in grand cru fashion with lots of elegance via tobacco, barnyard, and now warm baking spices. This was a knockout. Super length. Drink! Don’t miss the very top here…

July 24, 2022 - Wow! This is still killing it after all this time. Showing more meat nuances while staying incredibly deep, fruitful, beautifully structured and tannic, with a very long squeeze by dry velvet. Re-emerging and attention grabbing. This is still a memorable wine from good bottles...Drink

July 14, 2021 - Pulled from 13C cellar and let stand for 24h. On opening, wine appeared muted, needed air time to open up. 20 min later, fruit was more prominent and the wine continued to evolve throughout the evening. On the palate, I get a strong initial bitterness taste, it dissipated followed by tastes of dark fruits, oak, plums, into a strong tannic finish. Full body.

On Day 2, the initial bitterness was still there but shorter. Tannins still strong, not that different from Day 1. In drinking window for sure but it definitely has the backbone to keep for another 10 years. I tihink there's more room for improvement with longer cellaring. If it weren't for the bitterness, this would be a great wine. I have another bottle that I'll store for another ~5 years.

Dark purple in color with not the reddish brick color that you'd expect from a 20 yr old wine. Overall a good but not great wine. For now.

April 27, 2021 - This has come round beautifully after many years as a tannic monolith. Lush dark fruits are now to the fore on both nose and palate. Seems to be at the start of a decade of lovely drinking. I am gutted that I now only have one bottle left.
