April 22, 2021 - I have to agree with Tenpasttwo below - this is not an enjoyable wine. Harsh, unbalanced, no complexity. It’s interesting that the cheaper version not with the “seleccion” designation is better.

November 24, 2020 - Nice earthy nose, decant 1 hr. Harsh and all over the place, not enjoyable. Aerate and decant another hour. No difference. Let sit 1 day on counter in bottle. Day 2 much much better and didn’t have to dump. Still nice earthy nose. Tannins are still rough, some blackberry, black licorice and fruit tart. Alcohol is potent and full in mouth. Flavors are in front with long very dry acidic finish.

November 2, 2020 - The medium+ intensity nose delivers ripe blackberry, earthy, and chocolate aromas with a touch of herb. It is medium-full with good fruit concentration and flavours of blackberry, smoky mineral, and savoury notes on the spicy palate accented by herbal and subtle oak influence. It has lively acidity and supple tannins that are well-integrated, along with some purple fruit notes on the mid-palate. The long finish has more blackberry and smoky mineral notes with a touch of white pepper spice.
