October 19, 2022 - A fading deep Burgundy, faint but still with no browning to show even at the rim. Aromas of damp leaves, earth, with fruits (red plums and cranberry) coming to the fore eventually. Improving nicely over 3 hours open, any tannin has long ago receded so this seems both weightless and effortless. Bright & crunchy red fruit, a savory herbal character with a bit of smoke, finally a clean finish. This needs rich fatty food to bring out its (best) charms. Lucky to have an excellent bottle at age 53 today.

April 17, 2022 - Fading fast here, bit more dusty bookshelf than fruit.

August 5, 2019 - Flowers, soil, sweet red currant and coffee beans. Palate was silky with sweet red fruit. Very delicate and transperent. It stood strong throughout a 2 hour dinner. As good as a Corton can get, drinking much younger than its age.
