June 4, 2019 - Unusual. Other descriptions below capture this wine’s special festures well. Definitely different, and interesting. A wild “warm” primitivo-festures-like nebbiolo.. with very intense tart and licorise. Relatively high on alcohol, and very fatty with very drying lasting bitter tannin. Weird experience. Much good to say about burlotto but cant recommend this.

May 22, 2018 - Dark bing cherries, hints of rose petal, mushroom, strong spices on the finish. Juicy. Needed a good 1.5 hours to open up. Compared to the two Nebbiolos I opened recently (the Valtellina and Balgera), this isn’t in the same league, but for it’s price point, this is fantastic juice and pairs well with food, especially a good steak with mushroom tapenade.

March 28, 2018 - Enjoyable and approachable, nice red berry fruit, earth, wood backdrop, bit of light floral nose, well balanced tannin/acidity, a bit of zip with moderate length. Nicely made. Not sure it will change much from here.

March 9, 2018 - Tasty and approachable Freisa. A good value.

October 9, 2017 - Interesting drink! Described to me as like a wild Nebbiolo. It had the floral notes, a touch of tannin (fine grained like a Langhe Nebbiolo) and wild earthy/funky/gamey notes. Very good. Drinking well now and though it drank well over a few days there wasn't a lot of development. Would be great with antipasta/cured meats/cheeses
