  May 29, 2023 - Colour: intense purple
  Nose: medium(+) intensity, secondary, youthful. Red and black plum, preserved black cherry. Blackberry jam, elderberry. Prunes. Pomegranate syrup? Raisin, fruit cake, marzipan. Cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa.
  Palate: dry, medium(+) tannins, medium acidity, medium alcohol (13,5%), medium(+) bodied. Medium(+) intensity, medium(+) length finish. Red and black plum, preserved black cherry. Blackberry jam, elderberry. Prunes. Pomegranate syrup? Raisin, fruit cake, marzipan. Cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa.
  Conclusions: very good. Can drink now, but suited to further ageing.
  Seal: natural cork
  DAY2: still very good. Maybe the red plum and pomegranate character is a little more obvious, and it's more dominated by red fruit? Still seems very fresh though.

Juicy, savoury, chewy, broad, dense, plenty of oak spice and flavours, tannins are drying, finely tooled, concentrated black fruits. Long. It's a bit of an oral assault. Hmm

  October 14, 2021 - From Coravin. Ooh, polished...oak, yes, but more controlled than the Umani Ronchi, over ripe red and black berries and spice. With time the spice gets more dusty. Juicy and savoury, touches of bitterness here on the finish. A little raisin note joins the muted ripe fruit. Alcohol warmth is also present on the finish. A little texture on the palate. Okay.

  July 24, 2021 - Served as part of a by-the-glass pairing at Enoteca la Torre in Rome. Very interesting wine as I hadn't had this varietal before. Candied cherries and red vine Twizzler on the nose but palate was more substantial with significant tannins. Went well with braised beef.
