October 2, 2010 - Fill into neck. Perfect capsule and cork. Decanted and served. Clear garnet-ruby-brick. Nice generous zinfandel bouquet of peppery blackberry jam and dusty oak. Not as pleasing on the palate -- rough, faintly bitter.

April 1, 2001 - Dark red in color. Oak seems to have taken over here. Some fruit and coffee, but the oak seems a bit unbalanced. Perhaps I should have drunk these younger. Still pleasant.

October 9, 1999 - Big, berry-driven, jammy style of Zinfandel. Not as big as other times tasted, but still a blast of great Zin fruit. With air, the fruit became more sweeter, and almost port-like. Wonderful Zin. Perhaps losing a bit of structure, but seems like it can still go on for a bit more.

March 6, 1999 - Very dark in color. Very rich and intense, although some of the fresh, young fruit is starting to mature. Seems to be in a bit of closed stage.

October 25, 1998 - Wow! Dark red color. Very expressive nose of crystallized raspberries, minerals, and only the lightest hint of oak. Incredible palate impact. Tons of red fruit combined with other complex flavors. Unfortunately, tons of tannins as well, which makes this wine a bit painful to taste right now. Put away for a few years. All the elements are in place for a wonderful wine experience in a few years.
