December 5, 2023 - A good example of a loire Chenin, drinking well now with good acidity and some fruit.

    August 7, 2023 - Past prime.

March 7, 2022 - Slightly better than the last one but it is what it is. The nose is quite attractive, with honey, lemon and quince aromas. Quite full-bodied and round in the mouth, with decent flavours of pear, citrus fruits and honey, but again, slightly flabby. It really lacks the acidic tension Clos de St.Yves used to have. Some will welcome the soft accessibility but personally I prefer the fresher, crisper style favoured by the new breed of winemakers in Savennières.

July 4, 2020 - My first Clos de St.Yves for many a year. The change of style from the late 90s is clear - much more supple and fruity, much more accessible, but personally I preferred the purer, more chiseled style of the past. It's not bad, I enjoyed the creamy richness of the apple and pear flavours but there are many better, more distinctive wines elsewhere for the same price.

February 19, 2018 - Lovely nose but falls a bit short on palate. Being picky.
