December 30, 2017 - Medium gold. Intense pinaple and saffron. Full on wine, no petrol. Long finish.

January 25, 2014 - An Evening of Wines from the 1980's (Ame Restaurant, San Francisco): Full yellow. Incredible nose of vivid florality (we thought jasmine and/or honeysuckle) overlaid by subtle mature Riesling fusel. Light, typical Mosel weight which at first seemed sparse in mid-palate but then filled in just perfectly. Off dry like Spatlese from this era tend to be, clean with minimal or no botrytis, Golden Delicious apple fruit, strong acidity, and a lashing of soil at the end. Truly excellent and at its peak. Amazing condition.

March 31, 2013 - Great. Cork was still intact. Smooth and slightly sweet. Drinking well now. Purchased for $12 at Mr. Liquor in San Francisco in 1990. Tasted great with ham.
