December 24, 2018 - Very purple. Thin purple rim. No visible browning. Subdued deep nose.. Rustic, big in mouth. Lots of acid and tannins. Very old world. Still very young and bouncing off the walls but paired nicely with spaghetti with peperonata and hot Italian sausage. Much smoother on second day. This will easily go 5 or 10 years.
