Community Tasting Notes 3

April 18, 2020 - Quite acidic on opening but it blew off after a little while. Some sweetness and quite a bit of depth to the fruit for a hunter shiraz and for this vintage. I feel like somewhere I had heard that there was McLaren Vale fruit blended in and it sure does seem like it. Enjoyable nevertheless. Will easily hold another 5 years but in a good place other than the acid being a little much early on.

    August 22, 2019 - Showed very well beside the Tyrrell's Jonno 2010

February 5, 2017 - Bright smashed blackberry and mulberry, toasted fruit, briar patch, hay molasses, black pepper; good acid, gentle astringency, touch black pepper in the finish. Not as elegant as I recall the 2013, and certainly seems riper too, but nevertheless enjoyable and grows on you like a quality Hunter Shiraz would. Great value for money though
