December 4, 2021 - I am not sure how to rate this bottle. Maybe I had overly high expectations, but it did not live up to them. Bottle was aged appropriately, cork was intact (and very hard to remove); first pour showed a tinge of brown, but not overly so. First taste was a bit bland with little fruit. After decanting overnight, the wine got a bit more life but still no where near where it should be. I can only assume it is a bad bottle or one going bad. So disappointing for a Top 100 WS wine.

August 8, 2020 - Decanted for about 2 hours. Dar purple and showing very little bottle age. Nose initially tight but opened to five lots of dark fruit and hints of damson. Initially a bit belt of cherries on the tongue and then damsons and dark fruit on the long finish. Tannins still strong but elegant. Lots of ageing potential still.
