July 3, 2020 - One of the best Condrieus around in an awesome vintage. Love the nose that is very subtle and nuanced. Very lovely, enticing and beautiful. Honeysuckle, jasmines white flowers coming through. If you know your Condrieu, you know this is a really good one!

April 7, 2020 - Full yellow robe. There is a sense of fat, ripe white fruits, a cooked pear in syrup. The palate shows refinement on the attack, giving fine juice there. It’s stylish along the second half, has a rounded, nicely filled finale. The flavor brings in ripe peach, almond, nougat.

May 7, 2018 - Tour du Rhône (limited notes here and there): Big, ripe, fat and floral nose. Pronounced aromas of apricot, peach, orange, nougat, toasted oak, buttered hazelnuts and creamy lees. Impressive intensity but rather one-dimensional with the oak overpowering the fruit.

Rich, lush and viscous mouthfeel. Bordering on full bodied with, for the appellation, good acidity. Great intensity to the flavors that mirrors the nose well. Long and powerful finish with a bit of heat (14% abv) coming through.

Even though I don't get the style here at all I was positively surprised by this one. It was years ago since I tasted a Condrieu and I expected something perfumed and soapy which this wine doesn't have a trace of. Fans of heavy Cali/Aussie Chardonnays will probably find this appealing.
