Community Tasting Notes 1

  • MicklethePickle Likes this wine: 88 points

September 8, 1990 - With K and Miranda at home at dinner (fettuccine Alfredo and scallops). Still rather youthful-looking. Medium yellow. No sign of decline. Bright, blossomy fruit in the nose. Nice. Big wine in the mouth, with lots of acidity. Took a couple of minutes to pull itself together after opening. High acid makes the wine slightly out of balance, but there's a lot of underlying rich fruit. One of the best '85s I've had at this age. 5-10-15-8: 88/100.
