April 2, 2020 - Naddef always overextracted/over bled the vats giving an unbalanced wine (recent vintages have not been that way -- I suspect due to a change in generations). Dark musky fruit typical of Cazetiers in the nose. The mouth is dark and powerful -- and overly dense due to the overextraction. Too bad, it could have been a beautiful Cazetiers instead of a rustic wine that's ok with rustic food. Cellared since original release.

September 20, 2014 - Dark and red fruits, cola, some earthiness. Thought the wine might have some brett, but the smell blew off after 15 minutes in a decanter and only continued to improve over the next couple of hours. The wine was fresh with no bricking.

May 4, 2008 - Good, meaty burgundy. Good acidity, really needs fatty food to go with it. Decanted for an hour, which helped but didn't develop much further after that.

January 1, 2007 - Nice ruby/garnet, touch of bricking on the rim. Nose is nice and ripe – really juicy – and meaty, with a touch of earthiness. Mouth entry is full, with good acidity and nice black fruit. Nicely full on the mid-palate and a good sweet earthy finish. Not a great deal of complexity, but very nicely balanced and drinking beautifully today. ***
