  March 25, 2020 - Spice, plum, cherry and oak aromas. Clear. Lite in the tongue, tannin present. Slight tanginess.

  January 7, 2018 - In the nose: Confrontational. Metal. Cold thin glass misted with muted essence of red berries.
  In the mouth: Mauve construction paper coated with a powder of raspberry, lingonberry, metal, 60% chocolate, slight coffee.
  The experience: The tannins are prolific, covering the entire mouth which is very appealing. Whereas great wines become something other than a beverage in the mouth, this wine is flavored liquid only. A small discrimination, but this is why Shatter is a solid value but not great wine.
