June 1, 2022 - A strange nose, reminiscent of Welch’s grape juice and a rather dense, dark fruited palate. Medium acidity, not really my thing. Will track it over the next couple of days and see if it improves with air.
Day 2 , no real improvement from my perspective but 3/4 of the bottle helped make a delicious sauce for my ratatouille. Luckily I don’t have too many of these high abv , dense southern rhone CDR’s.

    January 7, 2022 - Mid ruby
dusty Herbs, dark fruits, dried cranberry loganberrry
Dry, med acid, med - tannin, med body long finish
Plush Rich fruit at beginning, developing more savoury. Well integrated.

December 1, 2021 - Not decanted, initially nose was all dark fruits, palate similar but with some almost balsamic notes, dried fruit (port-y in a way). Well structured tannins, relatively low acidity. Full bodied but not overbearing, almost “light on it’s feet” but still a bit too much for roast chicken.

JM isn’t kidding about the fruit. Though not a bad wine, this isn’t for me. Not enough tannins to counter the fruit, which is a tad overwhelming for me.

October 31, 2019 - Good for the price, but kind of a simple wine.
