July 4, 2022 - Side by side comparison w/ the 2014 Sojourner Dijon 115 clone.
Decanted and showing little to no sediment.
The 2014 Pommard shows, like the 115, rich aromas with good fruit concentration that reveal notes of black raspberry, dark ripe cherries, and red berry pie filling with details of cocoa powder, rose and floral pastilles, cigar box, earth and minerals.
The palate shows suave textures with a fleshy mouthfeel, slow building, yet polished tannins, balanced acids and moderately warm alcohol. Flavors show a core of dark cherry, black raspberry and plum coated with notes cocoa powder, floral pastilles, sweet herbs, earth and hints of cola and spice. The finish lingers with building tannins.

Darker in fruit profile with bigger chocolatey tannins than that of the 115.

April 10, 2021 - Lots of heat, pretty unbalanced. Macerated cherries and kirsch liqueur, some anise. This has some of that Eola-Amity Hills minerality in the background but it's pretty much overwhelmed by the overripe fruit.

January 16, 2018 - Popped and drank: nose of cherries and earth... mossy. Soft on the palette, tastes like tobacco and blackberry.
