Community Tasting Notes 5

  • Personal Opinion Likes this wine:

September 3, 2017 - I agree with most of the previous reviews. Solid rosè. Food friendly, with good synergy between the delicate flavors of roasted chicken, squash and polenta. Textured, balanced, direct press mouthfeel. Clean, delicate, melon and cucumber water nuances, with subtle mineral and floral notes. Refreshing, without being overly acidic. Overall, well made, with good texture, balance and mouthfeel, with elegant/delicate aromas and flavors. A new addition to my top 5 for the year.

May 28, 2017 - Favorite rose of the year thus far. Bottle off the list at Chotto SF. Gut feel (idk what SRP is) that $56 is pretty steep relative to the rest of the list, but not putting up a fuss at this level of quality.

12%, crunchy-dry, light grip. Beautiful rose-of-pinot typicity. Strawberry water, rhubarb, coriander, watermelon, cucumber, and what a nice brut Champagne gone flat might taste like. Incredibly food-friendly. More cerebral than patio-pounder; will reward your attention.

May 28, 2017 - Chotto Memorial Day weekend get away without kiddos. Watermelon, clean crisp, cucumber, truly a delightful rose

May 7, 2017 - While I like a wide range of rosés, I very much enjoy light, elegant versions. So I was looking forward to trying this one, from Pinot Noir grapes, light color, 12% alcohol, and a well regarded producer. But, even by my standards, it seemed too tart and lightly fruited. Not the best County Line rosé I've had.

Second day, I have to say it's a bit better. Still not really what I want, but it doesn't seem quite so tart.

May 3, 2017 - Very solid rosé. Dry, fruity, delicate yet refreshing. Light minerality. Pleasant slight effervescence. Pairs nicely with a summer potato salad, charcuterie and pickles.
