October 30, 2019 - Has improved in depth this year but ultimately lacks length+rusticity. This is a polite rustic wine. Improves on day two+ three. Will try the 2016 soon. 12.5%.

February 9, 2019 - This is nice enough and well made. It has aromas of blackberries, blueberries stones, veggie and earthy hints and cherries. Its medium bodied spherical, supple, black and blue fruits palate has nice acidity. Ends shortish yet with nice tannin. 12.5%. Look forward to the 2016 as hopefully it will be a bit more rustic. Drink in the next 2-3 years.

December 6, 2018 - 2015 was an OK year in Irouleguy. However this was better than the shortish 2013. Has fragrant aromas of boot polish earth, raspberries, blueberries, veggies, forest fruits, menthol, iron and orphites. Its medium bodied spherical blue, red and black fruits palate has good acidity and ends medium long and fresh. 12.5%. Needs 90 mins aeration. Drink up in 2-3 years.

March 1, 2018 - This is a delicious and easy drinking wine. It has aromas of blackberries, earth, chalk, iron, menthol and loganberries. Its medium bodied nicely opulent, solidish black fruits and earth palate ends mediumish, fresh, dry and food friendly. 12.5%. 2015 was a hail affected vintage in Irouleguy so this wine lacks some of its typical brawn and rusticity. Needs 90 mins aeration.

July 6, 2017 - This was better than the Mignaberry with more heft, minerality, earth, red and savoury black fruits. Ends mediumish. Needs 90 mins aeration. 12.5%.
