April 22, 2024 - Getting into tertiary notes with some dried fruits, forest floor, and some gaminess as it opened up. Plenty of red and black fruit as well. Fine cru bourgeois (designated the next year I think). Went well with a leg of lamb.

January 27, 2020 - Very beautiful wine with floral and minty notes on the nose and a structured long finish on the palate.

May 30, 2018 - Faint floral notes. Smooth and slightly spicy tannins, no over-extraction here. Dark fruits, not much complexity yet with no hint of alcohol. Elegant and fine tannins. Well made Cru Bourgeois. Served on SIA flight to Frankfurt.

January 11, 2017 - Cru Burgeois Bordeaux (Ripple - Washington, DC): Light red fruits on the nose. More structured than the Larose-Trintaudon and a lot more balance. Juicy black and red cherries with earth and rocky notes. A hint of astringency on the finish, but maybe time will mellow this out. 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot aged a year in 40% new French oak.

October 31, 2016 - Cru Bourgeois 2014 tasting: savvy consumers take note (Office of the Alliance de Cru Bourgeois, downtown Bordeaux): Nearly half each of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon plus 4% of Petit Verdot, this wine comes across as very youthful in color and has both a smooth and structured palate with a long finish. Lovely. I had a less favorable impression over a dinner tasting in January 2017, so let me be somewhat cautious on the score.
