August 21, 2021 - From a difficult vintage and frankly a good result albeit like much of the type produced by Antinori, also generic and lack an exciting side.
Good dark fruit, on the modern side but not overdone or pushed and makes for happy early drinking. That’s all. 88-89

May 30, 2021 - Coming between the 2013 and 2015 vintages, this would always be facing an uphill battle. I see 2014 on these labels and I'm usually not a buyer of anything from Tuscany or Piedmont for that matter. On sale for about 35 so I had to try. Glad I did. More than impressive for the vintage. Hits all the traditional bdm notes, sour cherry and leather and gravel. On the dark side. Tannic and more than a few years from peak. Good job.

January 27, 2021 - Very good Brunello from a tough vintage and it is still on the young side. However, once paired with food and allowed to breath, it opened up nicely with classic Brunello characteristics. Initially, there was some uncharacteristic pepper on the finish, but this blew off with 10 minutes in the glass. This was more lively than the fully mature Chianti that we had just before it. This wine paired incredibly well with Osso Bucco.

December 1, 2020 - Good>Very good, but needs at least 2 more years for additional integration and harmony. Bright, crunchy fruit that's teasing more than it's giving at the moment (this was PnP, unfortunately). By the third glass, any coarseness had dissipated, and the layers of red/dark red fruits offered slightly less vigor and more flow. Impressive considering the challenges of 2014, bravo. This should be pretty easy to find, with nearly 150k produced. I think many will find this ideal just the way it its, but I see it's got some reserve I'm interested in seeing, and that will require some additional bottle rest. At its peak, it should approach the highly recommended tier.

September 17, 2020 - Purchased at a wine-friendly Italian restaurant. Well blended. Deep notes. Accompanies Italian food very well. Opens quickly and holds up well over the evening. May be a bit pricey, but worth it.
