July 8, 2006 - A clear dark purple, and on opening and decanting a very nice nose of rich bluberries and cassis right off...and that tended to hold over the course of several hours. This was all about the fruit and as the nose...it was dark berries high lighted by blues and that strong cassis personality. Medium tannic structure and the even fruit grip that had a medium firm finish that made you want another sip. Very enjoyable with charcoal grilled NY strip steaks.
