May 11, 2020 - The Cabernet Franc is fully developed, not that there aren't some juicy flavors but this is the prime development window for this wine. Nice

November 19, 2019 - Meatloaf and mixed roasted root vegetables with olives and peppers tonight. Again a straightforward lighter wine was quite a nice accent. Have two more bottles that will be consumed within the next few months.

November 13, 2019 - Huh, it's like the bottom dropped out. All of a sudden, the nose is full of cream, flower pollen, charcoal and a touch of green pepper; amazing intensity. Then, the acidity is a lot softer than previous bottles, good blackberry and charcoal, but somehow just thin and a little wispy...a sharp contrast to the intense nose. Attenuated tannin...if this btl is representative, then drink up.

September 27, 2019 - Last bottle I called this simple and it still is, but simple can add so much to the depth of a dish. Tonight was pork chops, balsamic vinegar braised red cabbage, and garnet yams roasted with olives, onion, and red seedless grapes. Lots of flavors and a simple really tied things together. Lovely but simple wine.

April 28, 2019 - Tonight this a very pleasant but somewhat simple wine. The depth of complexity is not showing. This is an evolved wine but now more pleasant than exciting. The above is contrary to my original tasting notes at the time I added this to my cellar. Looked at the bar and noted the cork was a plastic Nomacorc which completely explains the premature aging. This abomination of a closure does not allow cellaring past a year or so. This is based on my experience as a winemaker and numerous large scale trials. I would rather see a screw cap used than this POS.
