September 29, 2016 - Purple color with a bouquet and flavor that mixes plum with unpleasant barbecue notes, very prominent in the ending. Not undrinkable, but a wine that you don't really want to finish.

August 13, 2014 - This was excellent, youthful and fresh, showing few signs of age - in the K style, it had healthy acidity and generous fruit, very tasty, really enjoyed this.

February 13, 2009 - Nose- whoa, unreal nose of sour blueberry, cherry, blackberry - a cornucopia of fruit. Nothing overripe. gorgeous nose.
Mouth - extremely fresh, lively fruit with good acidity. Mid palate of red and dark fruit also an inkling of tea, and some spices.
Overall a most impressive effort drinking superbly. Flavors linger for minutes.

August 27, 2008 - What a fantastic wine! had it with a Santa Maria style tri-tip which was perfect. This has to be one of the best Syrahs around.

October 27, 2007 - This wine had a much fresher, more lively profile than I anticipated. Juicy berry flavors: black raspberry, red and black currant, a little blueberry, with cracked pepper and a little brown spices. Seems to be a very pure representation of syrah, with restrained ripeness and balance and conservative oak treatment. Delicious and distinctive.
