February 4, 2024 - Broke out this beautiful 1997 at the end of dry January - great choice - as this beauty is still drinking awesome. Elegant nose picking up white pepper, provençal herbs - surprising energy and mid palate berry punch with integrated tannins kicking in leading to a happy long, long finish.

July 16, 2018 - The last of the case of mixed-vintage library releases that I bought after the '08 market crash. I will really miss these, because the wine was still alive and fresh, but clearly aged with lovely secondary flavors.

December 30, 2013 - Coravin-ed two samples, but that was a waste because it turned out to be badly corked. Was going to do side by side with 1995, which was still pretty nice though fading.

November 10, 2013 - had w/ dinner party ... lamb and chicken. opened it 4 hours before dinner, cork was soaked so decanted 2x then let sit. drank very well. velvet like with nice balance. it was thinner than i remembered but guests drank all of it (always a good sign)
