May 27, 2019 - Nose of black cherry, black berry, cigar box, and earth, same on the palate, medium/big body, very tasty, the best of the trio 1996, 1999, and 2002, rich fruit, touch of bitter chocolate on the mid palate, and a long, long finish. Uploaded bottle photo.

May 23, 2018 - Bottle 1 of 2, about 30 minutes decant. Nose has aromas of tobacco, mint, black currant and blackberry. Tannins are very round and give it excellent structure. Good balance but acidity is on the higher side and can be a bit overwhelming. Good clean finish. It doesn’t look like it will further develop and may start deteriorating soon, I’d suggest drinking up.

June 24, 2017 - Peak - fruit and nose were rich without being overblown. Tannins now well integrated. Overindulged - couldn't stop filling the glass!

May 30, 2015 - Drying tannins and a lovely entry. Black cherry, brown rice and granite. A medium finish, with not as much dimension as one would expect from this classic vintage. She is quite ready. Drink now - 2019.
