Community Tasting Notes 7

April 2, 2023 - Spiced strawberry against sweet herbs, dried sage, underbrush. The earthy notes really impress on the nose. Dark berry fruits, juicy and bright, with red apple skin. Spring grass, wet stones and tilled earth. Fresh and textured, nicely acidic - blind I wouldn’t expect it to be almost 10 years old.

November 5, 2021 - We don’t score wines, but have loved our 24 bottles of this 2014 wine and about 6 cases of the entry-level version! However, today we noticed a slight port-like nose when we opened one of our remaining bottles. Could this be bottle-specific or could it be a sign that the wine is transitioning to a post-mature stage? We even thought the color was a bit redder than the usual more purplish color we’ve remembered. Either way, love this winery! Drank a bottle of the 2015 Estate last week and it was spot-on.

July 3, 2021 - Fabulous! Bright vibrant fruit.

December 12, 2020 - Drank while we zoomed with some friends who are also wine enthusiasts. For my tastes it's still on the young side, but a nice solid wine. You can tell there's a more burgundian influence to it. Very earthy in style. Many thanks to WineGopher for sharing with us!

August 21, 2020 - Jammy black to red fruits, cola, bark, red dust, black tea, cinnamon and orange - all the trappings of the Dundee Hills. The balance is exceptional, it’s weighty but elegant with great balance of fruit, acid and spice.
