February 4, 2024 - I had not tried any of my Goodfellow wines so I wanted to give one a go. This was very good. Still a good deal of tension. I would like to try this again in a few years.

February 2, 2024 - Much bigger than I expected. Full red color. Expressive nose with some slight funk that blew off within a few minutes. Took about 30 minutes to open up. Big flavor, some fruit and a little savory as well, complex, medium-heavy mouthfeel and still quite tannic on the first day. Medium-long finish. Really enjoyed drinking over two days.

December 22, 2023 - Fantastic tension between cherries, roasted chestnuts, slight touch of anise, cumin, and to borrow William Kelley’s phrase, powdery tannins. Delicious with only about 15 minutes of air, but at the same time this wine keeps developing with air and clearly has more to give with more time in the cellar. Not really at maturity yet. Delicious.
Score : 93+. Relative to expectations: ++ at least.

November 3, 2023 - Luxardo cherry. Anise. Slight hints of clove & nutmeg. Tangerine peel. I get the sense this has many many years of life but is still so delicious now.

March 1, 2023 - A little more power than I normally see in Marcus's wines. Feels almost like a California PN. Still delicious and feels like it's in the right spot now.
